BACOLOD CITY, Philippines — Following the successful renewal of its partnership with Zeus 808 Production for the Visayas Region, Karaoke World Championships (KWC) Philippines is taking another bold step forward—this time bringing its nationwide talent search to the City of Smiles.
For the first time, Bacolod City will officially become part of the KWC Philippines tour, marking another milestone in the organization’s mission of discovering exceptional Filipino singers from every corner of the country.

The expansion is made possible through the growing leadership of Zeus 808 Productions, headed by Ronie Felix and Engr. Carie Joy Sitchon, whose vision is to extend world-class entertainment opportunities beyond Cebu and into the heart of Negros Island.

The official KWC Philippines Bacolod Launch is expected to take place in November 2026, making it one of the most anticipated stops of this year’s nationwide KWC campaign. The KWC Philippines team is likewise preparing an exciting visit to Bacolod as part of its growing list of regional destinations, where local communities, artists, schools, businesses, and aspiring performers will be introduced to the world’s largest international karaoke competition.

“We have always believed that incredible voices exist everywhere—they simply need the right platform,” said Ronie Felix, Head of Zeus 808 Productions.
“We are glad to be part of the expansion of Zeus 808 Productions. Negros is home to so many talented performers who deserve to be seen and heard. Together with TNC and KWC Philippines, we are excited to build a strong local community and create opportunities that could change lives. This is only the beginning of something much bigger for the Visayas.”
Joining him in this exciting initiative is Engr. Carie Joy Sitchon, who emphasized the importance of making the competition more accessible to artists across the region.
“This partnership is about more than organizing events. It’s about opening new doors for dreamers. We want aspiring singers from Bacolod and across Negros Occidental to experience an international-caliber competition without having to travel far. We believe the next Filipino world-class performer could very well come from Negros.”
For Apple Esplana-Manansala, Country Director of KWC Philippines and President of The New Channel (TNC), this new development represents another major milestone in the organization’s long-term vision of making KWC a truly nationwide movement.
“Every new city we enter brings us one step closer to discovering the next generation of Filipino world champions. We are especially excited to welcome Bacolod and the entire Negros community into the KWC family. I have no doubt that someone from Negros will earn a place in the KWC Philippines 2027 National Finals, which we are targeting to stage in Metro Manila in April 2027. Filipino talent knows no boundaries, and we are committed to giving every deserving artist the opportunity to shine.”

The expansion into Negros forms part of KWC Philippines’ broader strategy of bringing auditions closer to communities across the country through strong regional partnerships. Together with Zeus 808 Productions, series of audition legs (and gigs) are now being planned across Cebu and Bacolod, making the Visayas one of the most active regions in the 2026–2027 KWC campaign.
As preparations continue for the upcoming Visayas tour, KWC Philippines is inviting local event organizers, schools, universities, local government units, malls, tourism offices, corporate partners, and community organizations interested in hosting an official KWC Visayas qualifying leg to connect directly with Zeus 808 Productions, the official KWC Philippines Visayas partner. Through these collaborations, KWC aims to bring even more qualifying events closer to aspiring singers across Cebu, Negros, and neighboring provinces.
Meanwhile, aspiring contestants, supporters, and music enthusiasts are encouraged to follow the official social media pages of Zeus 808 Productions and KWC Philippines for the latest announcements on audition schedules, venue launches, registration details, and exciting activities leading up to the Bacolod launch and the series of qualifying legs across the Visayas.
With new cities joining the movement, stronger regional partnerships being forged, and more opportunities opening for aspiring singers, 2026 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting years in the history of KWC Philippines. Whether you’re ready to take the stage, host a qualifying event, or support the country’s next generation of singing champions, the road to the KWC Philippines 2027 National Finals starts now—and the next great Filipino voice could come from anywhere in the Visayas.
