A Sea of Support: Walk for Autism 2025 Unites Thousands at MOA Arena

Pasay City, Philippines – 18 May 2025 – Thousands of advocates, families, and individuals gathered at the iconic Mall of Asia Arena for the much-anticipated Walk for Autism 2025, a celebration of unity, awareness, and inclusion for the autism community.

This year’s walk carried the theme “Every Step Counts”, emphasizing that every stride—no matter how small—can lead to meaningful change. The event brought together neurodivergent individuals, their families, educators, health professionals, and supporters from all walks of life, in a powerful display of solidarity and hope.

From the early hours of the morning, participants filled the MOA grounds with color, wearing blue shirts and carrying signs with messages of encouragement and understanding. The program kicked off with an inspiring opening ceremony inside the MOA Arena, featuring performances from inclusive dance groups and heartfelt messages from key advocates in the autism community.

“We walk not just for awareness—but for acceptance and action,” said one of the speakers, a young adult on the spectrum who shared his story of resilience and growth. His words echoed the goal of the event: to break down barriers and build a world where neurodiverse individuals are empowered and celebrated.

A highlight of the event was the symbolic community walk around the MOA complex, where participants marched with purpose, chanting uplifting slogans and cheering each other on. Families walked hand in hand, support groups formed visible clusters of strength, and volunteers lined the path offering encouragement, water, and smiles.

Information booths, sensory-friendly activity zones, and partner exhibits were set up around the area to provide resources, showcase inclusive products, and offer interactive experiences for children and adults alike. The event also served as a platform for launching initiatives supporting early intervention, inclusive education, and employment opportunities for people with autism.

Organizers expressed gratitude to all the participants, sponsors, and volunteers who made the event a success. “This walk reminds us that the journey to inclusion is ongoing, but together, we are moving forward,” said one of the event coordinators.

Walk for Autism 2025 proved once again that with compassion, commitment, and community, we can take meaningful steps toward a more inclusive society—one walk at a time.
