The spirit of service, leadership, and community building took center stage as Kiwanis celebrated its 40th anniversary during a landmark event held on January 18 at the Marikina Sports Complex. The gathering brought together Kiwanis members, partners, volunteers, and community leaders to honor four decades of meaningful impact, particularly in improving the lives of children and communities.
The celebration was both festive and reflective, highlighting the organization’s journey from its early beginnings to becoming a strong force for volunteerism and civic engagement. Attendees were treated to inspiring messages, program highlights, and moments that paid tribute to the dedication of past and present Kiwanis leaders.

Celebrating Four Decades of Impact
Throughout the program, speakers recalled Kiwanis’ consistent commitment to service projects focused on education, health, youth development, and community empowerment. The event also showcased ongoing and upcoming initiatives, reinforcing the organization’s mission of serving the community while adapting to the changing needs of society.
Kiwanis leader Nato Agbayani shared a heartfelt message during the event, emphasizing the importance of unity and sustained service.
“Forty years is not just a number—it represents thousands of lives touched, countless volunteer hours, and a shared belief that service can truly change communities,” Agbayani said.
He also highlighted the role of collaboration in sustaining the organization’s impact over the years.
“Kiwanis has thrived because of the people who continue to show up, give their time, and work together with one purpose: to serve with heart and integrity,” he added.

A Venue for Unity and Celebration
The Marikina Sports Complex served as a fitting venue for the milestone event, accommodating a large turnout and providing a space where members and guests could celebrate together. The program featured ceremonial segments, recognition of outstanding contributors, and moments that honored the legacy of Kiwanis’ founders and long-serving members.
For many attendees, the anniversary was also a time to reconnect, reflect on shared experiences, and recommit to Kiwanis’ core values.
“As we move forward, our challenge is to keep the Kiwanis spirit alive by mentoring new leaders and expanding our reach,” Agbayani noted. “The next 40 years should be even more impactful than the last.”
Looking Ahead
As Kiwanis enters its fifth decade, the organization reaffirmed its vision of strengthening communities through service-driven leadership. The 40th anniversary celebration stood as a reminder that lasting change is built on consistency, compassion, and collective action.
With renewed energy and a strong foundation, Kiwanis continues to look ahead—ready to write the next chapter of service, inspired by the legacy it has built over the past 40 years.
