The Ateneo Biological Organization (Ateneo BOx) is set to redefine Valentine’s Day this year by shifting the spotlight to our shared home. The organization officially announces LoveBOx 2026: Earthbound Echoes, an immersive musical celebration and advocacy campaign dedicated to protecting the Sierra Madre mountain range.
Scheduled for February 20, 2026, at the Ateneo de Manila University Bellarmine Field, Earthbound Echoes is both a musical event and a call to action for environmental stewardship. While LoveBOx has long been a fixture in the Ateneo community’s social calendar, this year’s iteration carries a heightened sense of urgency. The theme, Earthbound Echoes, reflects the interconnectedness of human life and the natural world, with each performance serving as a “pledge in song.”
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Save Sierra Madre Network Alliance, Inc. (SSMNAI), a non-governmental organization that unites Indigenous Peoples, civil society groups, and religious sectors in defending the Philippines’ longest mountain range. Support for SSMNAI directly funds biodiversity conservation and the protection of vital watersheds that sustain millions and strengthen climate resilience.
The campaign extends beyond the main event. From February 16 to 19, the LoveBOx Bazaar will serve as a community hub where attendees can engage with environmental discussions and advocacy efforts. Talks will be led by partner organizations including Animal Empathy Philippines, Rights of Nature Philippines, and Angat Kalikasan Philippines, creating a platform for deeper discourse on environmental justice.
Ateneo BOx invites students, alumni, and the general public to join the cause. Tickets are priced at ₱400 for Atenean scholars, ₱430 for regular Ateneo students, and ₱450 for alumni and non-Ateneans, inclusive of ticketing fees. You can avail your tickets at https://lovebox.helixpay.ph/.
The event is co-presented by The Face Shop, with additional support from minor sponsor Silverworks. In an unprecedented show of student solidarity, LoveBOx 2026 is supported by partner organizations including JGSOM Sanggunian, RGLSOSS Sanggunian, Barefoot Philippines, ENTABLADO, Ateneo Musician’s Pool, Contemporary A Cappella Singers Association, Blue Hanguk Society, Loyola Gaming, Ateneo Psyche, Ateneo Management of Applied Chemistry Association, Blue Symphony Orchestra, and Development Society of the Ateneo.
