Philippine Dance Crews Shine on the World Stage at the 2026 World Hip Hop Dance Championship

PHOENIX, Arizona — The Philippines once again showcased its world-class talent as Filipino dance crews delivered an impressive performance at the 2026 World Hip Hop Dance Championship, earning multiple podium finishes and bringing pride to the nation.

Held from 25 July to 1 August 2026, at the Mullett Arena in Phoenix, Arizona, the prestigious international competition gathered some of the best hip-hop dance crews from around the world to compete across various divisions.

Leading the Philippine medal haul was Femme MNL, an all-queer Filipino dance crew that claimed the gold medal in the Megacrew Division. The victory marked another milestone for the country, with The Crew also securing the silver medal, while The Jukebox of Mexico finished with the bronze.

The Philippines also dominated the Adult Division, where HQ emerged as World Champion, taking home the gold medal. Japan’s Woodpecker earned silver, while fellow Philippine representatives Folk Jumpers completed the podium with a bronze medal, giving the country two places among the top three finishers.

In the Junior Division, Sayawatha Jr. added another medal to the Philippine campaign by capturing the bronze, behind Breakfast of France and Monsoon! of Japan, who won gold and silver, respectively.

Beyond the medal-winning teams, the Philippines fielded a strong delegation across multiple categories. Representing the country were A-Kidz in the Junior and JV Megacrew divisions, Sayawatha in the Varsity Division, NDDU Generals, A-Gyalz, and A-Boiz in the Adult Division, and UNRVLD in the Minicrew Division.

The country’s remarkable performance reflects the dedication, passion, and exceptional artistry of Filipino dancers, who continue to raise the Philippine flag on the global stage through outstanding performances and competitive excellence.

The World Hip Hop Dance Championship, organized annually by Hip Hop International (HHI), is considered one of the world’s premier hip-hop dance competitions, bringing together elite crews from across the globe to celebrate creativity, athleticism, and the culture of street dance.

With five Filipino crews returning home with medals and many others delivering standout performances, the Philippines once again affirmed its status as one of the world’s leading forces in hip-hop dance.
