The country’s automotive leader, Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMP), has once
again been recognized by the Bureau of Customs – Port of Batangas (BOC-POB) as its Top
1 import revenue collection contributor for the period of January to July 2026.

The distinction was conferred during the BOC-POB’s 69 th Founding Anniversary celebration
held on August 17, 2026, in Bauan, Batangas.
During the first seven months of 2026, TMP remitted a total of PHP 23.66 billion in customs
duties and taxes. This substantial fiscal remittance represents 16.4% of the Port of Batangas’ total
revenue collection for the January–July period, demonstrating TMP’s steadfast commitment to
compliant trade practices and national economic advancement.
While TMP’s remittances for the period eased compared to the same period last year, it
reflects broader macroeconomic headwinds and demand softening stemming from the energy
crisis experienced during the first seven months of 2026. Despite these market adjustments, TMP
maintained its lead as the primary revenue generator for the port district.

According to BOC-POB District Collector Carmelita Talusan, the Port of Batangas emerged
as the country’s highest-performing collection district from January to July 2026, delivering an
outstanding performance that consistently exceeded its revenue collection targets and accounted
for nearly a quarter of total national customs revenue. Notably, in July 2026, the Port further
underscored its strong operational momentum by recording its highest single-month revenue
collection in its 69-year history.
Collector Talusan expressed her gratitude to all port stakeholders, acknowledging TMP
alongside other major industry partners in the automotive and energy sectors for their vital roles in
driving the district’s milestone collection performance.
TMP’s trade operations are anchored by its Batangas Vehicle Center (BVC) in near
proximity to the port, as well as its status as an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Level 2
certified entity. Through sustained public-private synergy with the Bureau of Customs, TMP
continues to support nation-building efforts while ensuring efficient delivery of automotive products
and services across the Philippines.
