A new chapter begins in NORTH LUZON as Karaoke World Championships (KWC) Philippines welcomes EGMS Entertainment Production as its newest partner, opening the doors for more aspiring singers from Pangasinan, Dagupan, Baguio, and neighboring communities to step onto the KWC stage.
For the past two years, Coach Catherine “Kaye” M. Sorilla had been keeping an eye on KWC Philippines and envisioning how the global singing competition could reach her home territory.
Now, that vision is becoming a reality.
As the Head Vocal Coach and Owner of EGMS Entertainment Production in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan, Coach Kaye brings with her not only a strong network within the North Luzon music community, but nearly three decades of professional experience in music, vocal coaching, artist development, competitions, and live productions.
Her partnership with KWC Philippines is more than an expansion of geographic reach. It represents an opportunity to build a stronger singing community in North Luzon—one that can discover, train, develop, and eventually send its best voices to the national and international KWC stage.
A Partnership Two Years in the Making
For Coach Kaye, bringing KWC to North Luzon has been a long-standing aspiration.
“I have been eyeing KWC for the past two years because I saw the opportunity it could bring to singers in our area,” Coach Kaye shared. “North Luzon has so many talented voices, but many of them need the right platform, exposure, and opportunity to be discovered. I wanted to bring KWC closer to them and give our singers the chance to experience something bigger than the usual local competitions.”
That motivation is at the heart of the new EGMS–KWC partnership.
With North Luzon home to a rich pool of singers, musicians, educators, and performing artists, the partnership aims to make the KWC experience more accessible to communities that may not always have the opportunity to participate in major national competitions.
For Coach Kaye, the goal is simple: discover more voices, develop more artists, and create more opportunities.
Nearly Three Decades of Developing Singers
Coach Kaye enters the KWC family with an impressive professional background.
A Bachelor of Music major in Voice, with a minor in Piano, she has built nearly three decades of experience as a vocal coach and music educator. Her professional journey has brought her to leading music schools in Metro Manila and Southern Luzon, while her expertise has also been sought for various singing and choral competitions.
She has served as a vocal coach, mentor, and judge for competitions and music events involving institutions such as Colegio de San Agustin–Biñan, Laguna, Adamson University, and various major singing competitions in Pangasinan and other parts of the region.
Her work extends beyond coaching. She is also a piano teacher, singer-songwriter/composer, artist mentor, and concert organizer, with professional involvement in EBQ Music Production.
Through EGMS Entertainment Production, she continues to nurture aspiring singers and recording artists.
A Warm Welcome to North Luzon
The partnership also receives a warm welcome from Crunch and Kathleen Cervantes of BlueFish Asia Events & Media the dynamic tandem helping fuel the growth of KWC Philippines across the entire Luzon.
Their work in developing the Luzon network has helped create a stronger pathway for singers to move from local auditions toward the larger KWC Philippines platform.
With EGMS now joining the movement, North Luzon gains another strong music industry partner committed to discovering and nurturing local talent.

These North Luzon stops are expected to become important gateways for singers who want to experience the KWC journey—from local discovery and auditions to the larger KWC Philippines competition.
For aspiring singers in Pangasinan, Dagupan, Baguio, and surrounding provinces, the message is clear: the KWC stage is getting closer.

For Coach Kaye, the partnership is ultimately about opening a door that she has wanted to open for North Luzon for years.
“I believe our singers deserve to be seen and heard. If we can provide them with a platform like KWC, then we are not only giving them a competition—we are giving them a chance to dream bigger,” she said.
