Klaypel Celebrates 21 Years of Filipino Craftsmanship, Creativity, andCommunity

MANILA, PHILIPPINES— Klaypel marked its 21st anniversary with an Open House on
Tuesday, July 28, welcoming partners, members of the media, and longtime supporters to its
office and production facility for a closer look at the company behind one of the country’s
homegrown creative brands.
The event highlighted Klaypel’s journey from its beginnings as Paper Clay to its growth as a
globally recognized Filipino brand. Guests toured the company’s creative and production
spaces, where they saw how handcrafted products are developed and learned about the values
that continue to guide the business after more than two decades.
Originally established as Paper Clay, the company adopted the Klaypel name as it expanded
into international markets. The rebrand reflected the company’s growing presence overseas
while reinforcing its commitment to representing Filipino craftsmanship through products
designed and made in the Philippines.

For twenty-one years, Klaypel has continued to introduce Filipino creativity to international
audiences while remaining rooted in the values that shaped the company from the beginning. Its
products reflect local craftsmanship, drawing from the skills of Filipino artisans whose work has
become the foundation of the brand.
The anniversary also recognized the partnerships that have contributed to Klaypel’s growth and
community initiatives over the years. The company has worked with WWF on sustainability
programs, partnered with Rustan’s to bring Filipino-made creations to more consumers,
collaborated with the Autism Society Philippines to support inclusive opportunities, and
maintained its relationship with the Single Mothers Circle. The women from the organization,
affectionately known within the company as the “Mama Dutduters,” continue to play an
important role in Klaypel’s operations.

These collaborations reflect Klaypel’s long-standing belief that business growth should create
opportunities for the communities it serves. The company has consistently integrated this
approach into its operations, making community engagement an important part of its identity.
During the Open House, guests met the people behind the brand, observed the production
process, and gained a better understanding of the craftsmanship involved in every Klaypel
creation. The event also provided an opportunity to reflect on the company’s growth and the
people who have contributed to its success over the past twenty-one years.
As Klaypel celebrates this milestone, the company continues to strengthen its presence in
international markets while remaining committed to promoting Filipino creativity and ingenuity.
More than two decades after its founding, Klaypel continues to demonstrate how a proudly
Filipino brand can grow through craftsmanship, meaningful partnerships, and a commitment to
creating products that reflect the country’s creative heritage.
