Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Philippines — 2 April 2025, In a timely and relevant gathering, the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) hosted its General Membership Meeting with the theme “Ensuring an Honest, Orderly, and Peaceful Election”—a critical pillar in advancing Management Excellence for a Progressive Philippines 2025.
The keynote address was delivered by Chairman George Erwin M. Garcia of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), who provided a comprehensive overview of the Commission’s strategies and ongoing initiatives to safeguard the integrity of the country’s electoral process. Chairman Garcia emphasized the importance of institutional trust, civic engagement, and technological innovation in ensuring clean and credible elections.
His message resonated strongly with MAP’s mission to promote ethical leadership and national development through good governance and informed decision-making. Attendees gained valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities in election management, particularly in the lead-up to the 2025 polls.
The session was moderated by Ms. Boots D. Geotina Garcia, President of MAGEO Consulting, Inc., and member of the MAP Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee. The program was hosted by Ms. Kaye Macaisa Peña, Partner at SGV & Co. / EY Philippines and member of the MAP NextGen Committee.
As the country approaches another crucial electoral cycle this coming 12 May 2025, MAP reaffirms its commitment to responsible citizenship and nation-building through active dialogue and engagement with key institutions.
