Pasay City, Philippines — July 4, 2026. PrintCon 2026 and Print Philippines concluded its three‑day unified tradeshow at the SMX Convention Center, marking a historic collaboration between the Philippine Printing Technical Foundation (PPTF) and the Printing Industries Association of the Philippines (PIAP). The event brought together exhibitors, innovators, educators, government agencies, and creative communities under one strengthened national platform.
The tradeshow opened with a ribbon‑cutting led by PPTF President Dante E. Llarena and PIAP President Albert See, joined by leaders from major print and packaging organizations. A vibrant Lion and Dragon Dance welcomed guests into the exhibition halls, symbolizing renewed unity across the sector.
Government Leaders Affirm Strong Support
A key highlight of the event was the message delivered by DTI Undersecretary Blesila A. “Bless” Lantayona, who encouraged the industry to “continue building an industry that is innovative yet responsible, competitive yet inclusive, and profitable yet sustainable.” Her remarks reinforced the government’s commitment to supporting the growth and modernization of the Philippine print and packaging sectors.
Additional support came from ASEAN‑BAC Executive Adviser Malyn Molina, who emphasized the role of printing and packaging in the creative economy, and leaders from the Philippine Trade Training Center (PTTC), who reaffirmed their mission to equip MSMEs and professionals with future‑ready skills.
Strengthening Collaboration and Industry Trust
Keynote speaker Josiah Go, Chairman of Mansmith & Fielders, underscored the importance of “trust infrastructure” in building a unified industry, noting that no single company can elevate Philippine printing alone — only a cohesive, collaborative sector can.
The unified PrintCon–PhilPrint format also maximized exhibitor resources by eliminating duplication and strengthening the industry’s shared voice.
Education, Creativity, and Global Opportunities
Multi‑sectoral partners such as DTI, PTTC, DOST, SB Corp, NBDB, and TESDA reinforced the event’s educational mission. Creative leaders highlighted growing global opportunities for Filipino comics and printed books, signaling strong international interest in Philippine content.
